Our Day at the Beach!

We took Cash to the beach for the first time this last Sunday. We packed up the car and headed to Galveston early that morning. We got to Galveston's East beach around 10:00am. There was nobody there. It was perfect!!

The first thing we did was set up our "beach tent". Jeremy found this really neat half tent at Academy. It's perfect for the beach because we can still be outside, but are able to sit in the shade without having to worry about chasing an umbrella down the windy beach (this has happened to us before).

Hanging out in our tent :) Isn't he so stinkin' cute?

After we got set up Jeremy took Cash down to the water. At first he was very concerned with the wet sand and little bit of water, but as soon as the first little wave went over his feet it was like he was home. Cash just loves being in the water.

We also let him play in the sand for a while. He was very mesmerized with the texture of it. He had it between every finger and toe.

Overall our first trip to the beach was a huge success. He was so great the whole time and had so much fun that as soon as we put him in his car seat to go home he fell right asleep!

Easter 2012

We had a very busy Easter. On Palm Sunday Cash's school had a children's program at the church. All of the children led worship, and even Cash's little class got to go up and "sing" a song! It was precious. One of his teachers, Katrina, held him while they sang their song. He had a lot of fun. Later on all of the kids came back up to the front to sing another song...and Cash was dead asleep! He slept through the entire last song. So Katrina held him up there while he slept. It was really sweet.

After the service they had a little egg hunt, so we took him into the little kid area. We put some eggs in front of him and used it as a picture opportunity! Next year he will understand what the egg hunt is all about.

Easter weekend we loaded the 3 of us up and our 2 dogs and headed to Dallas to see our families. We headed to Arlington on Friday to spend time with my mom. The tornado had hit there 3 days before and it hit my mom's neighborhood pretty bad. Some of her neighbors didn't have a roof, and my mom had some damage to her trees. But she was very lucky in that she still has her house. We spent the day hanging out with my mom. She LOVES her baby grandson. And Cash loves GG. They sat on the floor and played and played. My mom got him an Easter basket with fun stuff like bubbles, and a ball and one of those things where you stack the rings. My mom cooked a yummy roast for us, and a great breakfast the next morning. We were sad to leave so soon, but she will be coming down here in about a month for a longer visit.

Then we headed to Rockwall to Jeremy's church for an Easter egg hunt and petting zoo. Cash had so much fun. He did a little egg hunting, then we played on the playground and he slid down a slide for the first time. He thought that was fun. We also saw the Easter Bunny!

They also had a petting zoo so Jeremy took Cash to see some of the animals. He really liked the baby pig.

That night we headed over to Aunt Kama's for dinner. They have a pool and hot tub so we packed Cash's swim suit. The water was a little too cold so Jeremy and Cash got into the hot tub (the temperature wasn't on) and splashed around. He LOVED it. Cash loves the water, he loves bath time and now he loves the pool. And he looks so cute in his swim suit. :)

Easter morning we woke up to see what the Easter Bunny brought Cash! He got a lot of fun stuff! Some Batman pajamas, a batmobile, a few books, some noise makers, Hot Wheels, and a Taggie blanket. This thing is genius. He loves to play with the tags on things, so they made a blanket that has a bunch of tags sewn on a little blanket! So neat!

He liked playing with the grass in the basket :)
 My handsome boy at church

We got ready and headed back to Jeremy's church for the Easter program. Jeremy's mom is in the choir there and they put on a big program. Cash got to meet a bunch of people from the church too. All of us plus Kama and Steve went back to Jeremy's mom's for lunch and then we headed back home later that afternoon (in the pouring rain).

Cash's first Easter was so much fun! We enjoyed getting to spend this weekend with all of our wonderful family. We love you all!!
