3 months old!

Well our little guy is 3 months old and growing like a weed! He is so much fun! His personality is really starting to come out. He is such a laid back baby. Really the only time he cries is if he's hungry or tired. The rest of the time he just hangs out.
This month we celebrated Cash's first Thanksgiving. It was just the 3 of us but we still had a nice day :)

We have started taking him out a lot more now. We will take him out to eat and to the grocery store.
Here he is helping us grocery shop:
Cash got a Cowboys onesie from his Mimi and Greatdad so we wear that to cheer them on!

We went and picked out Cash's first Christmas tree! He liked that because he was outside!

This month was also Daddy's birthday month so we celebrated that by cooking Daddy breakfast and a steak and crab dinner! He got some new tennis shoes and the 1 o'clock lab band CD he wanted.

Daddy also had his Christmas concert so I took Cash up to the school for the first time. I dressed him up in his tuxedo shirt (so he would fit in!!). We sat in the sound booth just in case Cash wasn't too fond of the music. He fussed a little during the first song of Jeremy's jazz band but after he got used to the music he did great! We are so blessed to have such a chill baby. He just goes with the flow and does great everywhere. He got to meet all of Jeremy's band kids and oh my gosh he was Mr. Popular! All the girls just ooh'd at him and thought he was so adorable (of course we agree!). Oh and Daddy's bands did well too!

At 3 months old:
Weight: 10 lbs. 8 oz
Height: 23 inches
Size 1 diapers finally!
0-3 month clothes and still some newborns! He is really long but isn't very chunky so he can still squeeze into newborn clothes if they don't have footsies.
This month Cash laughed for the first time. He was in his crib and Jeremy was tickling his belly and he thought that was so funny! A baby's laugh is something else. We love it.

Month #2!

Man time is flying by! Seems like I just wrote about Cash's birth. This month we had a few more visitiors come to see us. Aunt Brittney came down and stayed for a weekend. We had such a good time having her here and she was such a big help! She cooked us dinner, brought all kinds of goodies, and was just an extra set of hands on a weekend where Jeremy had a football game and UIL on the same weekend.
Here is Cash and Rorie meeting for the first time via Skype.

GG also came down for a weekend so that Mommy and Daddy could go on a date! And Cash got to meet his Uncle Nicho!
Jeremy and I went on our first date since Cash was born. We went to see David Cook in concert! We went and saw him 2 years ago and were excited to go see him again. It was really hard to leave Cash for the first time, but we had a really good time! And GG and Uncle Nicho had some quality time with our little guy.
We took Cash to his first Pumpkin Patch. There wasn't much for us to do because he is so little, but we did get some cute pictures of him with the pumpkins!

When he turned 6 weeks old we finally decided to take him out in public. We kept him at home for the first 6 weeks so he wouldn't be around germy people. :) So we had our first family outing to Schlotzsky's! He did really well and slept the whole time.

At 2 months old:
Weight: 8 lbs 14 oz (3%)
Height: 22 inches (17%)
Size 0 Diapers
Still wearing Newborn clothes
Eating every 2 hours during the day
Sleeps through the night!! Will go to bed at 9:30pm and wake up between 5:00-6:00am for a feeding then normally goes back to sleep till 8:00 or so.
Started tummy time a little
Does great in his car seat and goes to sleep everytime he is in it
Started smiling!!
Likes to be outside
Personality is really starting to come out. He has started giving little looks that are adorable!

Cash's first month

Cash's first month has been pretty eventful! He is such a joy and we love watching him grow everyday.
We had our first pediatrician appointment on September 19.  He weighed 5 lb 13 oz which was below his birth weight of 6 lb 3 oz. He was also quite jaundice-y. But other than that he looked perfect!

We had a few visitors too! Our friends Joey and Luanne came to meet Cash.

Cash also got to meet his great grandparents! They just loved him and he was pretty fond of them too!

He took his first bath in his big boy tub!

Our first walk:

At 1 month old:
Weight: 6 lb 9 oz
Length: 19 3/4 in
Size 0 Diapers
All newborn clothes, and most of them are too big for you!
Eating every 2 hours during the day, and every 3.5 hours at night
Love bath time
Very happy baby unless you are hungry :)

The best day of our lives!

Well my due date was originally September 10, which would have been an awesome birthday for our little boy, but he had other plans. I started having contractions on my due date and those would end up lasting for 82 hours. Yes...82 hours. All contractions were at home, pretty consistently coming between 5-10 minutes apart the whole time. Once they started they never subsided. It was really rough and I thought they would never end and I thought he would never come, lol. After going to my doctor on Tuesday the 13th she finally said that she would induce me the next morning. Well around 3:00am on Wednesday morning I couldn't take the contractions anymore so we headed up to the hospital. We were already scheduled to be there at 6:00 for the induction so when we got there they went ahead and put me in a room, which made me so happy. From there things went pretty smoothly, and that was a blessing considering what I had been through for the last 3 and a half days. I got my epidural (the most amazing drug invention ever) and didn't feel another contraction. I was a happy girl once that kicked in. I got the epidural around 4:30am. Then Jeremy and I just chilled out and I tried to rest a little. My mom got there around 8:00am, Jeremy's mom came around 8:30am. The nurses were checking me throughout the morning to see how I was progressing and at about 10:40am my nurse said "oh it's time to have this baby." And man once she said that everything started moving SO fast!! She got on her little phone and was calling my doctor, calling the hospital staff to get a warming bucket in there for the baby and to get all the stuff for the delivery wheeled in there. It was such a whirlwind. Here came my doctor at about 10:50am...and after a very short delivery Cash Davis Gray was born at 11:01am. It was just amazing. That first cry is what you wait for as a mom, and when it came there was just this rush of relief and excitement and love. Then they cleaned him off just a bit and handed him to me. The best feeling of my whole life was the moment I held my little boy.
He weighed in at 6 lbs 3 oz and was 19 1/4 inches long. He was a little guy.
My first time to see him:

Just in awe of him :)

Our first family of 3 pic.

The next 2 days went by so fast...and so slow at the same time. By Friday we were all ready to go home.

Look at that face...he's beautiful. Even with the scratch above his lip from his little fingernail :)
Getting ready to go home!!

Happy Happy Mommy!
He is so little in his car seat.

It's so nice to finally be at home and getting into a routine. We are so in love with our handsome little boy and are very excited about life and what God has planned for us.

Baby Shower

I know I know...I've been absent from blogger world lately. And for the month of August I have no excuse considering I was on maternity leave just hanging around the house! Now I have a great excuse, but we will get to him later ;)
Back in July my lovely girl friends threw me a baby shower at Brittney's house. We had so much fun and I was very happy that a lot of my friends from my Dallas office came to see me. I hadn't seen them since I moved to Houston so it was nice to see them. And then of course my local friends, and then my mom, Jeremy's mom, and my grandmother were there also.
My grandmother, mom, me and my granddad. :)
Everyone hanging out and catching up

Playing the "Guess how big Katie's belly is" game. A lot of people were almost right on. :)

The beautiful table with the food
Me with the yummy and awesome looking cake that Luanne made for us! Thank you!!
 Present time!

And of course, me with my amazingly wonderful husband. Sigh. Really is the best guy ever.
